Directive 2004/8/CE of the European Parliament
- The promotion of high efficiency CHP based on useful heat demand is a priority for the Community in view of the potential benefits regarding primary energy savings, the elimination of losses in the network and the reduction of emissions, in particular greenhouse gases. In addition, the efficient use of CHP can also contribute positively to the security of energy supply and the competitive position of the European Union and its Member States.
